With the debut of a new “Warm Up To Win” campaign this winter, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater (VSPC) is providing the gift of warmth and sunshine. The campaign will highlight the area’s Florida Gulf coast beaches, endless rays of sunshine, family fun, and superb dining scene, positioning St. Pete/Clearwater as the ideal winter destination, and will give one lucky fan the chance to win a trip to the destination, complete with a stay at TradeWinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach, every year for the next five years. On Tuesday, January 31 from 12 – 6 p.m. in New York City’s crowded Herald Square, a special, free “Warm Up To Win” pop-up event will highlight the campaign.
Residents and visitors to New York City are invited to “Warm Up To Win” the ultimate sweepstakes by participating in an interactive St. Pete Beach Day inside a heated greenhouse. Guests will be greeted by coastal-clad ambassadors who will invite them to “take a soak” in the entertaining VSPC bubble-like ball pit hot tub, participate in themed games, and spin-to-win VSPC and TradeWinds Island Resorts prizes and swag. Representatives from the resort will be on hand to provide destination travel information, suggestions, and advice. A vibrant tiki hut will provide free samples of TradeWinds’ tropical “Island Sunshine” beverage, bringing guests to a wonderful summer day on St. Pete Beach’s breezy shores. The first 50 guests to take “hot tub” selfies on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags @vspc and #PlanForVacation will receive a VSPC swimsuit and towel! The program is free and open to the public of all ages.
The “Warm Up To Win” pop-up event, hosted in conjunction with National Plan for Vacation Day, will celebrate travel by transporting New York consumers to the white sand beaches and warm, emerald green waters of St. Pete/Clearwater. This key tourism industry day, observed annually on the final Tuesday in January, was created by the United States Travel Association to encourage Americans to plan their vacation days for the entire year.
According to recent research conducted by Sorbet, a startup that helps employers manage PTO, even Americans who receive PTO don’t use it. According to the estimate, 55% of PTO went unused in 2022, compared to 28% in 2019 before the epidemic began. TradeWinds Island Resorts, located right on the sugary white sands of the Gulf of Mexico on St. Pete Beach, offers 40 acres of unlimited beachfront recreation, gourmet restaurants, and numerous thrilling family activities, including their unique three-story, dual-line zipline on the beach.
The online contest is accessible from January 18, 2023, through March 31, 2023, and can be entered both in person and online. The conditions are simple: each participant is permitted one online entry per person to win a trip for four to St. Pete/Clearwater every year for the following five years. Each trip will include round-way travel for up to four (4) persons, three nights of single hotel lodging at TradeWinds Island Resorts, and a $300 resort credit. A Visit St. Pete/Clearwater beach bag is also included in the prize.
The new campaign will be supported by internet, out-of-home, and print advertising.
