Luna Aviation Group has recently provided a market update on its 2022 performance reflecting strong numbers for its LunaJets and LunaGroup Charter brands. According to the company, the growth is driven by unparalleled demand from existing, and new clients, and additional offices.
The Group’s diverse business divisions continue to see robust growth, with sales up more than 45 percent compared to 2021. Notwithstanding low stock market returns, persistently rising inflation, and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the Group’s annual income was record-breaking.
2022 Growth
After a record-setting 2021, LunaJets, the private jet charter business of Luna Aviation Group, surpassed $150M* in yearly revenue for the first time in company history in 2022, a 40% year-over-year growth. The number of organized flights resulted in over 12,000* movements, or more than one aircraft taking off every hour around the world. The business welcomed almost 1,250 new customers.
In its second year of operations, LunaGroup Charter, the commercial charter branch of Luna Aviation Group, has surpassed $15M* in yearly revenue and organized flights have increased by 290%. “In light of the post-pandemic environment, in particular the uncertainty as to whether international events would be hosted, and the sluggish start to the year, we are ecstatic with these results and our increasing market share. Our global operations allowed us to reach a record-setting fourth quarter “says Rémi Aubin, LunaGroup Charter Sales Director.
Forecast for 2023
After establishing new offices in London, Paris, Riga, and Monaco over the past two years, Luna Aviation Group will launch new offices in Zurich and Madrid in 2023.
The Group established its Dubai office in the heart of the famed Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) earlier this month as part of its ongoing global expansion and commitment to the Middle East region.
“I am very excited about the opening of our new office in Dubai. We experienced immense growth in 2022 and it is our first expansion outside Europe. It embodies our continued commitment to positioning LunaJets as a truly worldwide market leader and closer to our growing clientele in the region. The team is being trained at the Geneva HQ to provide the same service of excellence everywhere in the world,” says Luna Aviation Group MD, Alain Leboursier.
“Our private jet and commercial division are extremely exposed to macro-economic factors, political risks, and volatility but we are confident to be able to maintain a substantial competitive edge and continue increasing our market share. The Group has never been as strong or commercially astute to welcome the changes and challenges of the market,” he added.
